Use this tool to determine how closely the performance of one Fidelity fund tracks that of another. This number, the r-squared, defines the percentage of one fund's performance which is correlated with the other fund's performance. Do this for all the funds that you own. A high correlation, or r-squared, between several of your holdings may mean that your portfolio of funds is not as diverse as you might want it to be. To diversify, look for funds which have low r-squareds with one another.
